Dear Mr. D............
Thank you very much for your letter. Regarding your questions, we can inform you the following:
The sensors in the watch have no temperature compensation and for this reason you will have different readings when there is a change of temperature as mention in the user guide. The altimeter, as long the watch is on a constant temperature, for example at your wrist, will have a lower impact when there is a change of temperature having a most accurate altitude reading.
is temperature reading needed for the watch to calculate altimeter ?? No.
i know that altitude is calculated based on baro readings ...just baro right? Yes, but base a constant temperature.
or temperature is a basic factor for calculating altimeter? as mention before you need a constant temperature for a good result at the altimeter.
Please read the next information from page E-72 at the user guide and the specifications of the watch on page E-111:
We recommend reading the complete manual at least once to get more of the watch functions. Attached you will fin copy of the manual. We wish you a nice day.
