Cutting-edge micro-mechanics. At the heart of the Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Extra-Thin 37 mm is Calibre 2968, an innovative ultra-thin selfwinding flying tourbillon movement, 3.4 mm thick, a complication previously reserved for our 41 mm diameter timepieces. Given the restricted space available, the flying tourbillon movement had to be creatively rethought to reduce its thickness, while retaining the initial proportions of its cage, leading to the repositioning of certain components. The titanium tourbillon cage is notably equipped for the first time with a peripheral drive, contributing to its thinness.

Materials full of contrasts. At first glance, the dial of this new Royal Oak Selfwinding model appears black, but on closer inspection it reveals a multi-coloured spectrum that brings the Tapisserie effect to life in the ever-changing light. The black ceramic case and bracelet are highlighted by hexagonal pink gold screws. All the components of the case and bracelet are embellished with satin-finishing that is paired with polished chamfers for a maximum play on light
