Patrick Kury confirmed as CEO of Eterna, David Vallatta becomes Vice President



Patrick Kury, who headed Eterna Watches as CEO ad-interim since October 2011, is now confirmed CEO as of March 1, 2012. Patrick Kury brings his vast experience in watchmaking and is the key person behind Eterna’s technological developments in the past years.



Also appointed is David Vallata who joins Eterna from Carl F. Bucherer, where he was Executive Vice President Sales with several years of experience in the Asia-Pacific region.

Following his appointment as Vice President, David will be in charge of marketing, sales and product development for Eterna and Porsche Design Timepieces.

David Vallata holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies. He worked as a consultant for a corporate financial services department and in various capacities with Swiss watch brands. From 2003 on, he was based for a five-year period in Hong Kong and Taipei, where he managed the development of business in China, Taiwan and Japan.

“Thanks to his many years of experience in world markets, David Vallata will be able to vigourously support Eterna's overall development and commercial expansion. We are very happy to have him on board” said Patrick Kury.

Eterna Super KonTiki Black.
Inspired by a 1947 expedition to reach the Peruvian coast from Polynesia on board a wooden raft, the KonTiki was born in 1958. Four years later the Super KonTiki diver’s watch made its appearance in the Eterna watch collections. A little over five decades have gone by and the Granges-based company has brought out an all-black model inspired by a stealth aircraft. Its steel oval 45mm case is coated in black PVD. Black too is the dial with triangular and dotted indices. A few flashes of light orange bring light to the darkness: the triangular marker on the rotating bezel, the square markers on the minute track, the hour and minute hands, the tip of the seconds hand and the date display at 6 o’ clock. The time and date functions are brought to life by the self-winding Sellita SW200-1 calibre. Price: 2,550 CHF
