The Vostok-Europe brand of watches debuted in 2004, aimed at the Western European market. These watches are assembled by the Koliz Vostok Company of Vilnius, Lithuania.
Vostok-Europe is the joint-venture company between famous Russian watch maker Vostok and Koliz company based in Lithuania. First Vostok-Europe watches were equipped with a Russian Vostok movement only. Later series with Japan-made movements were produced. New Lunokchod-2 model with Swiss-made movement in on a waiting list.
Vostok-Europe watches, due to their materials and finishing, cost several times the amount of an "ordinary" Vostok.
The company's first motto was The Best Soviet Technologies for Modern Watch Design though it is Lithuanian and not a Russian company as they may pretended in some of their communications. Today's motto are For going to extremes and Made for experts by experts.
Recently, the Vostok-Europe brand was introduced to the United States market via the cable television shopping network Shop at Home. As of 2007, a dealer network is beginning to form in North America.
