the brand name Lemania Watch Co. with headquarters in L'Orient. In 1932 Lemania, Omega and Tissot joined to form the SSIH group. In close collaboration with Omega great chronograph calibres were created.

Εξαιρετικοι χρονογραφοι,δυστυχως δε θα τις βρουμε συχνα σε εταιριες εκτος γκρουπ,ισως η πιο διασημη και γνωστη ηταν η lemania 5100,το αρχικο κοστος κατασκευης της ηταν καπου στα 50$ και λιγο πριν το τελος ειχε φτασει καπου στα 800$....μηπως ηταν ανταγωνιστης της Valjoux 7750 ή απλα δεν μπορουσε να δεχθει φινιρισμα και πολυπλοκοτητες απο τριτους?

Για μένα το θέμα δεν είναι αν καταργήθηκε η Lemania λόγω κόστους ή λογω εξέλιξης...
Το θέμα είναι τί παραπάνω έχει από τους άλλους αντίστοιχους χρονογράφους.
Και οκ για μας τους καμμένους έχει αξία, εκτός από ιστορική, και κατασκευαστική κλπ...

Για τον απλό καταναλωτή;
Γιατί να την κρατήσει το group;

Για σκέψου όμως να καταργούσε την 1861 τελείως, τί αξία θα της έδινε ξαφνικά...

Το δυστύχημα για την 5100 είναι ότι κάποια στιγμή βρέθηκε το group να κατασκευάζει μια μηχανή που δε χρησιμοποιούσε σε κανένα ρολόι εντός του group.
Ήταν αναμενόμενο να την καταργήσει...
Πάντως θα συμφωνήσω με το Γιώργο ότι μια μηχανή μπορεί να καταργηθεί για χίλιους δυο άλλους λόγους πέρα από την αξία-ποιότητα-διαχρονικότητά της.
Όπως και το αντίθετο, μηχανές σχεδιασμένες το '70, ζουν και βασιλεύουν και μάλιστα θεωρούνται και premium...
