To πιο περιζήτητο ρολόι που όταν είχε κυκλοφορήσει έκανε 1$ !!!
Το ρολόι-καρτούν που αν το δεις και είσαι ανυποψίαστος μπορεί να το περάσεις για παιδικό.
Ρολόι με 80 χρόνια ιστορία!!!

Προφανώς πρόκειται για το Ιngersoll Mickey Mouse!

To 1933 ξεκινάει να πουλιέται ένα ρολόι που κόστιζε 1.5 δολλάριο στην έκδοση τσέπης, 3.25$ στην έκδοση χειρός(μετέπειτα η τιμή έπεσε στα 2/95$)  και κατέληκε να πουλήσει χιλιάδες κομμάτια!
30mm διάμετρο και η συνεργασία Ιngersoll-Disney έχει την εξής απλή-όσο πανέξυπνη-μορφή

Ο Μίκυ μας δείχνει ο ίδιος με τα χέρια του τι ώρα είναι!

Ερχόταν σε χάρτινη θήκη


και με οδηγίες χρήσης


Ακολουθούν απανωτές εκδόσεις με μικροαλλαγές και με διαφορετικό κουτί


Απ΄τα τέλη του 1935 εμφανίζεται το "made in usa" στο καντράν

Φυσικά,τότε δεν υπήρχε ούτε και φανταζόταν κανείς ότι θα υπάρξει μη μηχανικό ρολόι , κι έτσι τον Μίκυ κινεί ο κουρδιστός μηχανισμός της Ingersoll,κατασκευής 1914!
 

Το 1936 η Ingersoll Αγγλίας κυκλοφορεί μια ακριβή έκδοση του ρολογιού


ενώ από το 1937 εώς το 1942 η Ingersoll παράγει το ρολόι σε πολυγωνικές κάσες. 




και ο μηχανισμός του έχει την εξής μορφή


Η πρώτη περίοδος παραγωγής του Μίκυ πήγε τόσο καλά που ουσιαστικά έσωσε την εταιρεία από την χρεωκοπία.

Μεταπολεμικά και το 1946,ο Μίκυ είναι ακόμα παρών και πλέον πουλιέται ως εξής


Ακολουθούν πάμπολες εκδόσεις και παραλλαγές...ο μίκυ χωρίς σώμα,ο μίκυ μόνο επιγραμματικά,επίχρυσες κάσες κτλ.



σημασία έχει ότι το ρολόι πουλάει ακόμα και συνεχίζει να παράγεται!

Όσοι δεν πρόλαβαν να το πάρουν τότε και το θέλουν,μπορούν ακόμα και σήμερα να το αποκτήσουν με μόλις

Τωρα το ότι κάποιος έβαλε στο e-bay το ρολόι αυτό στην τιμή των US $1,499.99 δεν σημαίνει τίποτα
Πρέπει να δει κανείς εάν αγοράστηκε
Πάντως από τίς φωτογραφίες που είδα του μηχανισμού πρέπει να είναι εντελώς της 'πλακας'
Δηλαδή ένα ρολόι πολύ κακής ποιότητας έστω και για 1 δολλάριο
Επεισης θα πρέπει να υπολογίσουμε το πόσο άξιζε το 1 δολλάριο το 1930

Καλή φάση θα ήταν να έβρισκα ένα σήμερα για τον πιτσιρικά μου, που έχει στο μίκι τρελλή αδυναμία. Από την άλλη δεν θα "ζούσε" πάνω από μία ωρα πιστεύω. Θα το ξαντέριαζε

Nίκο ευχαριστώ για τα λινκ. Θα τα έχω υπόψη μου, αν και το ρολόι θα παρθεί αργότερα μιας και η ηλικία του δεν του επιτρέπει να το χαρεί. 2 χρονών ακόμη δεν πιάσαμε. Εχουμε ακόμη λοιπόν. Πάντως το κουρδιστό είναι τρέλλα.

Ωραιότατο θέμα με το ρολόι του Μίκι. Δεν ήταν το μοναδικό ρολόι με αυτή την τιμή ενώ υπάρχει και ο όρος "ρολόι του ενός δολαρίου" (dollar watch).
Να συμπληρώσω πως τα ρολόγια του 1 δολαρίου είχαν μεγάλη πέραση στις ΗΠΑ από το 1892, ενώ από το 1910, η Waterbury Clock παρήγαγε 3.500.000 τέτοια ρολόγια ανά έτος για την Ingersoll. Σε μία εικοσαετία οι πωλήσεις έφτασαν τα σαράντα εκατομμύρια και η Ingersoll επινόησε το σλόγκαν «Το ρολόι που έκανε το δολάριο διάσημο!".
Ο Θεόδωρος Ρούσβελτ ανέφερε ότι κατά τη διάρκεια ενός ταξιδιού για κυνήγι στην Αφρική είχε περιγραφεί ως «ο άνθρωπος από τη χώρα όπου παρήχθη Ingersoll."

A dollar watch was a pocket watch or later, a wristwatch, that sold for about one dollar.
The sale of such watches began in 1892 by the watchmakers Ingersoll Watch Company, Waterbury Clock Company, and New Haven. Later, Western Clock (Westclox) in 1899 and the E. Ingraham Company also began manufacturing them. Dollar watches were practical, mass-produced timepieces intended to be as inexpensive as possible. Trademarks of dollar watches were their simple, rugged design, movement (usually with a pin-pallet escapement, although sometimes with duplex escapements) which has either no jewels or just one jewel, width of about eighteen size (two inches), and sale price of about a dollar from 1892 until the mid 1950s. Many other companies made them, with literally hundreds of names on the dials.
To keep costs down, the watches were often sold in flimsy cardboard boxes, which are now highly collectible.

After Disney decided to rebrand Mickey Mouse in 2009, restoring some of the character’s more mischievous qualities, Ingersoll trademark owner Zeon Watches, the UK’s biggest importer and distributor of timepieces, revised the classic Mickey Mouse watch with two models that remained true to the originals: a pocket watch and wristwatch with Mickey on the dial, with his hands moving around the dial to indicate the time, and a small seconds disc at 6 o’clock with three Mickey Mouses running around it as it turns.


The 21st century models use stainless steel for the case and a seventeen-jewel mechanical movement. The watches packaged in the style of the originals and each one is individually numbered.

Thanks to its Mickey Mouse watch, Ingersoll established a reputation as the foremost manufacture of character watches and went on to produce timepieces depicting such famous characters as Buck Rogers, Donald Duck, Flash Gordon, Lone Ranger, Popeye, Captain Marvel, Dan Dare and Peter Pan. Even today, Zeon’s licensed character watches include such classics as the Beatles and Elvis alongside more modern equivalents such as Hello Kitty and The Simpsons.



After the huge interest in the Mickey Mouse collection at BaselWorld last year, Ingersoll has extended the range with a further 15 models to be presented at BaselWorld 2012. The Classic Collection is a more affordable offering that is targeted at teenagers and adults, powered by quartz movements from Seiko and packaged in metal gift tins in the shape of Mickey’s ears. The new models include glamorous stone-set Mickey and Minnie bracelet models, as well as several different case sizes and fashionable coloured straps.

The Disney Ingersoll collections will be featured at BaselWorld in Hall 2 A80.
