Watch collector meet-ups can be a great way to put faces to names and to see watches in the metal that may have only previously been seen on computer screens. At this particular meet-up, it was collectors focused on the Heuer chronographs of the 1960s and 1970s, in particular Carreras, Autavias, and Monacos, who turned up. However, interest is certainly growing in the even earlier 1930s, 40s, and 50s chronos too. Likewise, there is growing interest in the the 1980s Heuer chronographs that were made shortly before by company was purchased by Techniques d'Avant Garde (TAG) and renamed TAG Heuer.
