Synthetic NATO straps ( Κοντυμα )

Nέα Λουράκια from "Cheapestnatostraps" and I need some to adapt and shorten them (συντομεύστε)

I looked for 19mm straps and some straps to replace the metalband from my Orient Mako II and leatherband from my Smiths PRS36:
To heavy/hot in summer.

Due to corona issues the delivery took about 6 weeks! (from Sweden)



3 of them need to be shorten! Later more about this...

Here, I remove the inner strap, is in fact useless: should only keep the watch in place without moving up or down.
But even without this extra inner strap: the watch moves maybe 1-3 mm, so no problem.
Secondly: the watch is less high up the wrist!

Here the 20 mm and 22mm adjustments!

Maybe this is useful for som GWF members!

But all adjustments on your own risk! (FIRST: try your skills on an OLD Nato strap!)

Finally: This is my own taste: others still prefer long straps they "return, others like double straps ... each his choice!

Because:

I remove the inner strap because it is in fact useless: should only keep the watch in place without moving up or down the strap.
But even without this extra inner strap: the watch moves maybe 1-3 mm, so no problem.

Secondly: the watch is less thick up the wrist!

....Oikonikos is kindly requested, to correct the translation of  (συντομεύστε), which is actually the phrase for .....please be quick, and replace it, with the correct for this act / procedure, which is shortening - i.e. in Greek, κόντυμα.

This is exactly what I did with my only NATO strap
Because it was way too short, the buckle would never reach bottom side of the wrist.
I removed the part of the strap that goes to watch lugs and turned it into a single pass.

Now I can place the watch exactly where it needs to be on the strap, so the buckle is exactly where it doesn't trigger my OCD 
The part where you trim the end of the strap, in order to shorten it, was pretty neat!

So, I made a cut around the 23 mark, but the strap is black and it's not easy to see where the cut is


And I also made an epic job and that's the main reason you can't see that the strap was modified 

 

Removing the bracelet from the citizen excalibur is a pain in the butt, so, no recent pictures of the watch on the NATO
