Seeing the wind speed, and the place, I would expect a high lift for Dimitris upon take off, from the speed of the wind coming up the mountain.
Normally, at the side / edge of the mountain, there are so many up-lift dynamic currents.
Where am I wrong ?
There are dynamic winds and thermic winds.
Dynamic winds circulate around the globe; in daytime from sea to land, during nighttime from land to sea.
Thermics are created by the sun: she heats up the ground, stones, streets, roofs, mountain slopes, etc... the air above this items get more warm than the surrounding air and ascends in the atmosphere, making thermic columns.
In Charia there is allmost dynamic wind and only a little thermic above the beachside.
Yesterday, also it was a bit turbulent with windguts, so, sometimes you get 10-20m up but also you can descend quickly 10-20m!
Near the ground, there is the windgradient: the wind slows down from 0-10m altitude, and it is safe to land.

The most uncertain parameter were the cows ! !
