Look at this unbelievable Panerai Bronzo. Made out of CnSn8 bronze, the oxidation of the metal is called patina, which is developed over time and forms uniquely depending on the wearer.
This is an extreme example of forced patina, but even at this stage the bronze can be cleaned and restored to its original luster with relative ease, allowing the wearer to decide the level of patina they'd like to achieve.
