Cal. J280 Altichron Cirrus
The Altichron Cirrus marked the return of the signature altimeter complication. In this implementation, 100 foot intervals are represented by a yellow hand, while a second, bright orange hand reads off 1,000 foot intervals. A sub-dial for 10,000 foot intervals, reveals that the watch has the capacity to measure altitudes up to an incredible 32,000 feet. Moreover, in addition to its Eco-Drive power system, the Altichron Cirrus also featured, for the first time in a Land series watch, an analog, electronic-sensor compass as well. The all-analog displays could be easily operated by clearly labeled push-buttons, making this not only one of the most complex Land watches, but also one of the easiest to operate as well.
