Pita BarcelonaAwarded in different invention fairs, Aniceto Jiménez Pita, a self-taught watchmaker and AHCI member has been passionate about watches since his early childhood. Aniceto creates his timepieces from idea inception to final personalization.
Every creation by Pita has its own personal appeal and is crafted with a unique purpose, ranging from the Carousel where the whole movement rotates in its own axis to tell time, to the 5000m water resistant Oceana dive watch with two patented systems.

ImageShack.us1947: Aniceto Jiménez Pita was born in Oliva de Merida, Spain.
1958: At the age of 11, he made his first clock, a Water-Oil clock.
1963-1971: Self-taught in watchmaking by repairing all kind of clocks and watches, he was contracted by some watch making companies before the opening of his own establishment.
1971: Opened his first clock shop in Barcelona to the wide public to repair and sell clocks.
1990: Started to develop the basis of the Pita-TSM (Time Setting Mechanism).
1994-1997: Hosted to some watch making trainees from the IPFP Verge de la Mercè de Barcelona (the only watch making school at Spain). He quit teaching to focus on his creative timepieces.
2003: The Pita-TSM (Time Setting Mechanism) was patented. This system allows new watch complications by replacing the entire remontoire by our system, removing the crown, saving watch parts and reducing the volume, being valid for any mechanical watch. Unseen developments like carousel automatic watch Pita Carousel, the elegance of simplicity of Pita Minimal and the most water-resistant dive watch Pita Oceana are all possible to the Pita-TSM.
2004: Accepted as candidate in the AHCI,

2004: Pita-TSM presented at the 32nd Salon International des Inventions in Geneva, April 2004

2005: First exhibition of Pita Carousel, Pita Minimal and Pita Sol y Luna timepieces at Baselshow 2005, (Halle 5.1 - AHCI booth).
2005: Exhibiting our timepieces at EPHJ (Professional Watchmaking and Jewelry environment, Lausanne, May 24th to 27th,

2005: Our second patent, Pita-RT (Remote Transmission) allows time setting in a water-tight case. Oceana is the first diver watch that resists up to several thousand meters, thanks to the two patented inventions.
2006: Accepted as full member in the AHCI.
2006: Pita Oceana dive watch prototype presented at Baselworld 2006 as world premiere.
2007: Pita Twister concept watch presented at Baselworld 2007, (Halle 5.1 - AHCI booth).
2008: Pita Minimal two hands timepieces presented at Baselworld 2008, (Halle 5.1 - AHCI booth).
2009: Invitation to Tokyo Watch fair in January 2009 and exhibition of our timepieces in the AHCI Corner.
2009: Presentation of our new concept timepiece Pita molinos at Baselworld 2009, (Halle 5.1 - AHCI booth).
2009: 'Masters of Contemporary Watchmaking' by Michael Clerizo, illuminates the craftsmanship and ingenuity of contemporary craft watchmaking. Aniceto Jiménez Pita is one of the eleven independent master watchmakers covered in detail in this book, along with George Daniels, Svend Andersen, Vincent Calabrese, Philippe Dufour, Antoine Preziuso, Franck Muller, Alain Silberstein, Marco Lang, Vianney Halter and Roger Smith.
