Festina, Pierre Lannier, Apose, Akrone and Carzo&Lieutier along with other French brands, are once again sourcing mechanical movements from France Ebauches. The aim is to achieve 70% French value, with major components such as baseplates, bridges and oscillating weights manufactured at the Maîche site.

H Ronda ιδρύθηκε το 1946.
Από τότε, μέχρι σήμερα, έχει δημιουργήσει ένα φοβερό όνομα,με αξιοπιστία, αρκετούς μηχανισμούς,κυρίως quartz.
Άνω των 30 μάλιστα οι καλιμπρες της Ronda.
Το 2016 παρουσίασε τον caliber R 150, ο οποίος χρησιμοποιείται κατά κόρον.

Κατασκευάζει μηχανισμούς για το ιδιώτης το γκρουπ αλλά και για άλλους κατασκευαστές (δεν έχει δώσει ονόματα στη δημοσιότητα).
Στην ουσία τα αρχηγείο της ονομάζονται movement assembly facility .

Ιδιαίτερη περίπτωση. Οι εμείς της δύσης,έχουμε ένα φετίχ να σνομπάρουμε κινέζικα προϊόντα, ισως οχι αδικα,πόσο δε όταν μιλάμε για μηχανισμούς ρολογιών.
Εκεί όπου μας "βούλωσε " ήταν με τον St 19.

Της έδωσε άμεση αναγνωρισιμοτητα και την καθιέρωσε σαν....κατασκευαστή.

Η Sellita υπάρχει σαν εταιρία από τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 50.
Παρόλα αυτά ήρθε στην "επιφάνεια " αρχές του 2000, 2003 συγκεκριμένα λόγω της ΕΤΑ.
Οι μηχανές της ,ήταν αποκλειστικά βασισμένες στις ΕΤΑ.

Η Sellita υπάρχει σαν εταιρία από τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του 50.

Και ποια εταιρία δεν τον έχει χρησιμοποιήσει. Πόθος από εμάς δεν τον έχει θαυμάσει για τις αντοχές του,για την αξιοπιστία του ακόμα, στις κατάλληλες συνθήκες, και για την ομορφιά του.

Ένας μηχανισμός ο οποίος έμεινε στη παραγωγή από το 1914 ,μέχρι το 1974.
Ξεκίνησε ως monopusher χρονογράφος και εξελίχθηκε με δύο pushers ,το 1936.
Θρυλικός μηχανισμός, ο οποίος έφτασε στα όρια της....παράνοιας εξαιτίας του Rolex Daytona του Paul Newman ο οποίος χρονογράφος έχει τον Valjoux 22.

Ένας μηχανισμός ο οποίος έμεινε στη παραγωγή από το 1914 ,μέχρι το 1974.
Ξεκίνησε ως monopusher χρονογράφος και εξελίχθηκε με δύο pushers ,το 1936.
Θρυλικός μηχανισμός, ο οποίος έφτασε στα όρια της....παράνοιας εξαιτίας του Rolex Daytona του Paul Newman ο οποίος χρονογράφος έχει τον Valjoux 22.

Το 1901 τα αδέρφια John και Charles Reymond ίδρυσαν στο Les Bloux την εταιρία “Reymond Frères SA”.

THE AQUASTAR COLUMN WHEEL
A column wheel is the wheel/gear which coordinates the start, stop and return to zero functions of the Chronograph hands.
In a standard quality chronograph, the column wheel is replaced by a system of cams. So, in order to operate the chronograph, cams are needed to be layered in two pieces. One layer receives the input from the pusher, while the other transmits the motion to the clutch, where the connection between the chronograph mechanism and the movement is achieved. The cam also blocks the reset mechanism while the chronograph is in operation in order to prevent movements jamming.
A column wheel has the exact same function, but is built in a way to provide more accurate, more precise operation, which can be noticed through the motion of the crisp and precise pusher action. Where the cam is made of two layers of metal, the column wheel is a single piece, and usually needs high precision machining to manufacture.
Beyond the precise feel, a column wheel provides more benefit. It is commonly known that cam-actuated chronographs experience slack when started, this is usually noticed when the chronograph seconds hand skips forward, but this is thought to be more of an issue with the use of horizontal versus vertical clutches (where the chronograph’s mechanism meshes horizontally rather than vertically with the gear train), with the more common cam-actuated chronograph typically featuring a horizontal clutch and the column wheel variety a vertical.
The 2020 Aquastar Deepstar is powered by the LJP mono-compax Chronograph movement, the movement relies on the above described column wheel to operate its chronograph pushers. The movement is adjusted in 5 positions and is accompanied by a certificate.

Until recently, our watches have been offered with ETA and Sellita movements; for the Model 1 range, the perennially popular automatic 2824 and its Sellita equivalent, the SW200, and the 2801 and Sellita calibre SW210 manual-wind movements for the Model 2.
We’ve now introduced another movement to the mix: La Joux-Perret’s recently released automatic G100. This option will be available for Model 1 watches during the buying process.
La Joux-Perret is a well established Swiss movement manufacturer, who have been working with many of Switzerland’s most prestigious brands for many years. They’re also owned by Citizen, a large and well resourced Japanese company.
As watchmakers, we value the support our customers show us and recognise the importance of that support being reciprocated. Reflecting this, we offer a five-year warranty and regulate all watches to the wearer’s habits before they leave the workshop, in addition to sizing bracelets where applicable.
With the introduction of this new movement, we can further tailor our watches to different customer lifestyles and preferences. The G100 differs from our other offerings in one significant respect: at 68 hours, its ‘power reserve’ (how long the watch will continue to run when left unworn) is appreciably longer.
In real-world terms, this is a valued convenience for those who tend not to wear the watch over a weekend; for enthusiasts who wear different watches in their collection throughout the week; and for those who don’t use automatic watch winders through necessity or disinclination. The benefit here is that the watch will still be running within 68 hours of last wear, and there will be no need to set the time before buckling strap to wrist.
Sample Testing
We’ve had the opportunity to test the movement and have been impressed with its quality.
We were glad to see the balance cock equipped with Etachron stud and index pin in a further nod to accuracy. These allow the watchmaker to easily make fine adjustments to the balance spring while simultaneously monitoring changes introduced on a timegrapher. We routinely use this feature in the ETA and Sellita movements to reduce the difference in rate between positions, so it is a welcome sight in the G100.
Our testbed movement had an average daily rate of -2.5 seconds per day, with the following timing characteristics recorded one hour after full wind:
The maximum deviation is 11 seconds per day, so this is a respectable delta and a good starting point to make adjustments from.
Kif style settings and springs provide shock resistance. The springs themselves are well made and, dare I say it, feel more robust than some incablocs that have crossed my bench!
Overall we are pleased with the performance and build quality of the G100. Encouragingly, LJP has confirmed they are happy to provide spare parts should we need them for future servicing - surely a consideration watch collectors will appreciate for future peace of mind.
