The Atacama field series, named for the Chilean Atacama region, one of the driest areas in the entire world, was the inspiration for the Luminox's Field series introduced in 2010.
The newest pieces, day-date models (1920 series) and chronograph alarm models(1940 series), feature a 45mm case with 26mm lugs. The original Atacama was available in 47mm and 42mm. Movements are Swiss quartz calibers from Ronda.
The Chrono Alarm models feature an innovative and proprietary highly audible sound box. Water resistance is 200 meters and they feature AR-coated sapphire crystals.
