The Ollech & Wajs MP2063 is a military styled watch. The rare AS 2063 automatic movement is a New Old Stock movement.

The black dial is military inspired. With big black luminous arabic numbers, the design is clearcut. The circled "T" on the dial signifies that tritium is used for the luminous on the dial. Although Tritium does not glow as brightly as Superluminova, but they glow longer throughout the night since they are self illuminating. The luminous on the MP2063 is slightly of a green hue. Mesmerizing!

The case is finished to a very high Swiss standard. The case is satin brushed on the top and sides. The satin brushed stainless steel caseback is engraved.

All Ollech & Wajs watches will come with a 12 months mechanical fault warranty. Only Gnomon Watches provide a 12 months warranty on all Ollech & Wajs watches. Insist on buying from authorized distributor.

Eνα απο τα ρολογια της εταιριας που μου εχουν κανει ιδιαιτερη εντυπωση ειναι το pilot μεΕΤΑ 7750.
Ειναι παρομοιο με το Sinn 103 και εχει ασυναγωνιστη τιμη. Απο ποιοτητα και φινιρισμα δεν γνωριζω πως ειναι αλλη με 900$ περιπου νομιζω οτι ειναι καλη αγορα.

Το Mirage ΜΚIII εξαιρετικό, το "ζαχάρωνα" πολύ καιρό, αλλά δεν έκανα τα 3 κλικ από τον RLT. Δίστασα λόγω μικρού μεγέθους. Μάλλον μ@κ@κια έκανα....

Ollech & Wajs started business in the 1950s when Albert Wajs began making and supplying stainless steel bracelets for wristwatches. In 1956, a partnership was formed with Joseph Ollech, and they soon began manufacturing wristwatches. Business was done from their retail premises in Zurich. They soon began to expand into world wide markets, more notably the US and UK markets by advertising in magazines that were popular with aviatos, soldiers, divers and sportsmen, selling direct to the end user by mail order from Switzerland.

In the 1960s O&W sold a variety of professional automatic and manual-wind mechanical military and dive watches for an average of US $12. The Ollech & Wajs M 65 military watch was often sold at PX's on US military bases. These watches became very popular with US soldiers who bought them privately as a replacement for their government issued disposable watches. Sales reached an all time high during the Vietnam War era when they were selling thousands of watches via direct mail order.

Όχι, μην το λές, ουσιαστικά ήταν Breitling. Μετά την πτώχευσή της "Β". Η ιστορία είναι γνωστή.

The story has been told numerous times before, so I'll only give a short version here.
In 1979 the original Breitling company that was founded in 1892, and had been in family hands all its life, was liquidated. Several parties acquired parts of the Breitling heritage. Name, designs and parts all went to new owners.

The Ollech & Wajs company was founded more then twenty years earlier, somewhere in the 50's, by the two gentlemen that gave the company it's name. They specialised in good quality, affordable tool watches, and achieved quit a good reputation among soldiers, that preferred them to the government issued watches. In 1979 O&W had the foresight to buy much of the parts that were stocked by Breitling to build and/or service their watches from the Navitimer line.

Up to this day they still have on offer new, unused watches build from original Breitling parts, and parts that came from the original Breitling suppliers. They are sold under the Aviation name.
