SINN
All completed stock, and the right to use the 806/809 design (not the name) was sold to Helmut Sinn, who sold off most of the branded stock to trade. Old World Jewellers in USA bought a good proportion. Sinn now manufacture the 806/809 under their own brand name, and model no 903.
In some ways you might argue that Sinn is closer to the philosophy of the original Breitling company, in the sense that they focus on technical improvements, and try to keep the price modest. Their Navitimer derivative (903) is more a tool watch, like the Navitimer was once meant to be.
Since Sinn had the rights to produce a Navitimer style watch, they needed a movement with the so called "tri-compax" lay-out. The proven Lemania 1873, was selected. In early 2000 Lemania decided to sell the 1873 movement to sister companies only. So the 903 with Lemania 1873 movement sold out in September 2001and was replaced by model with a modified automatic Valjoux 7750 movement.
