Οντως φοβερό άρθρο.
Και όμως,παρολες τις επιτυχίες της Seiko,στο σήμερα, στους πιο ακριβής μηχανισμούς του πλανήτη, έχει καταφέρει και έχει μόνο τον spring drive. Έναν μηχανισμό δηλαδή, όπου η ακρίβεια του εξαρτάται από μπαταρία.

Και παρόλο που έχει ειπωθεί δεκάδες φορές ότι η Tag αγόρασε μηχανισμό από τη Seiko και τον παρουσίασε σαν δικό τής, ελάχιστα έχει ειπωθεί ότι, σε τεχνολογική εξέλιξη, είναι αρκετά μπροστά από τον ανταγωνισμό με μηχανισμούς αξεπεραστης ακριβείας και ποιότητας.

Accurate to an unprecedented 5/10'000 or 1/2'000th of a second, the Mikrogirder is a completely new regulator system — a coupling beam/girder and excitatory beam/girder system working with a linear oscillator (versus a spiral shape in a classical hairspring) that vibrates isochronously at a very small angle, as opposed to a traditional watch, which vibrates at an angle of up to 320 degrees. The advantages are numerous. In a classic spiral hairspring system, the effect of gravity due to mass is a dominant issue. With the Mikrogirder, the problem no longer even exists. There is no loss of amplitude and the movement’s frequency can be modulated on a very large spectrum of frequency without overburdening the power supply. The result is a significant increase in precision (division of time) and performance (frequency accuracy and stability). The Mikrogirder energy performance will enable TAG Heuer chronographs to attain ultra-high frequencies never before dreamed possible. Ten patents are pending on this breakthrough. The Mikrogirder’s dual frequency system ensures precision and chronometry through 2 independent chains.

As there is no possibility of interference between "normal speed" and "high speed", there is better precision and accuracy. The power reserve is improved, too, and wear and tear dramatically reduced, as "high speed" is "on demand" instead of being always engaged. Finally, the dual frequency system offers the ultimate in readability. The smallest fraction of time — 1/100th, 1/1'000th and 1/2'000th (5/10,000) of a second — is displayed on a central hand that does a complete revolution around the dial a mind-boggling 20 times per second. Furthermore, and like the Mikrotimer Flying 1000, the dial display allows a quick and easy reading of the incredible measurement thanks to 3 scales, 2 external and one at 6 o’clock allowing to read 5/10'000 or 1/2'000th of a second.

TAG Heuer based this unique and complex movement on its earlier innovation, the Chronomatic Calibre 11, which was released in 1969. The Calibre 360 movement is beautiful in its complexity, comprising more than 234 components, in what are actually two connected yet distinctive mechanical movements that operate independently. Other features of this exquisite chronograph movement include:

a complete standalone chronograph movement, with its own separate barrel, manual winding system, gearwheel, balance wheel, and spiral mechanism;
a single crown that winds both movements - a clockwise rotation loads the manual chronograph movement, while a counter-clockwise rotation rewinds the automatic movement for the time;
a 42-hour power reserve;
a single-pallet escapement wheel and special balance wheel, which provides an oscillating frequency of 360,000 vibrations per hour, or vph, which was an enormous leap from the usual 28,800 or 36,000 vph for chronographs; and
high resistance to shock and other wear effects.

ZENITH DEFY
Zenith, now owned by luxury conglomerate LVMH, has been a watchmaker based in Le Locle, in the heart of Switzerland’s watchmaking industry, since 1865. It released its Defy Lab model in September 2017, boldly proclaiming it to be the most accurate mechanical watch in the world.

The most innovative aspect of this movement is that it did away with 30-odd components that comprise the balance spring. It replaced it with a new single-piece oscillator made of monocrystalline silicon. This means the movement beats at a very high 15Hz (or 108,000 vibrations per hour, or vph). The silicon oscillator creates a far more precise oscillation back and forth, than that of a typical balance spring. Not only does the movement have less components, it is also 10 times thinner at a mere 0.5 mm (0.019 inches).

The Zenith Defy Lab movement also features a 60-hour power reserve, which is a more than 10% increase over Zenith’s other well-known mechanical movement, the iconic El Primero, released in 1969. The Defy Lab also has a frequency rate that is three times more than the El Primero, making the Defy Lab 10 times more accurate. Other features of the Defy Lab include:


a precision rate of just 0.3 seconds per day, far exceeding the ‘+6/-4 seconds per day’ standards for COSC chronometer certification;
maintaining precision for 95% of its power reserve;
the movement has no need for lubrication; and
ultra-high resistance to heat, cold, gravity, and magnetic fields, all of which impact accuracy.

How did TAG Heuer achieve this latest feat of mechanical movement wizardry? It had to do with the balance wheel and spiral-shaped hairspring, known as the Huygens principle and named after the Dutch scientist and ‘father’ of horology, Christiaan Huygens. This balance wheel system has been used in watchmaking for centuries but always had its limits. These limitations of the traditional Huygens system include sensitivity to magnetization and thermal conditions. It was also virtually impossible to ever reach a frequency higher than 500 Hz. A further limitation was something important to all chronograph lovers - accuracy.

Omega new spirate system




With the Spirate, Omega has developed a new method to fine-tune the rate of a watch movement. It combines a new silicon hairspring architecture and a new eccentric tuning system with a snail cam acting on a flexible blade. This system, with its unprecedented finesse, allows regulation as close as 0.1 seconds/day. This is achieved with a graduated tuner – a nod to the design of old watches – with a snail-shaped index on the cock. The graduated tuner, which is still combined with the co-axial escapement, allows fine-tuning on a scale of 5 seconds, with increments of 0.1 seconds/day. Omega’s idea is to introduce Spirate technology into more collections in the near future.

Την αγόρασαν για τη μηχανή της τη zenith,τα άλλα τα έκανε το γκρουπ που ανήκει

Και δεν έγραψα πουθενά ότι ο spring drive είναι μόνο μια μπαταρία,έγραψα ότι η ακρίβεια του εξαρτάται από μπαταρία.
Να είμαστε λίγο πιο προσεκτικοί σε ότι λέμε
