In 2007, Piaget marks a milestone. It was 50 years before that the firm introduced Caliber 9P, a manual-wind movement that was a mere 2.0 mm thick. Three years later Piaget followed with an automatic version, Caliber 12P, which measured just 2.3 mm thick. Caliber 12P earned Piaget a listing in Guinness World Records as the maker of “the world’s thinnest self-winding movement.” Today Piaget enjoys a well-earned reputation as a maker of elegant and uncommonly slim watches. More recently the firm has introduced the modern 430P, 450P, and 438P movements measuring a mere 2.1 mm thick, as well as the new line of 600P tourbillon regulator movements.

In the village of La Côte-aux-Fées, which is in the Neuchâtel region of Swtizerland, Georges Piaget founded Piaget in 1874. Since the beginning, the company was dedicated to producing pocket watches and high-precision clock movements for prestigious brands. In 1911, Piaget began producing wristwatches, however, it was not until 1943 that they started selling watches under the Piaget name. Previously, all wristwatch movements were sold to other brands (a testament to the Piaget’s watch manufacturing capabilities).
In 1957, at the Baselworld fair, Piaget introduced the world’s thinnest hand-wound mechanical movement (2 mm), the caliber 9P. Then, in 1960, they introduced the thinnest automatic movement in the world (2.3 mm), the caliber 12P.

In 1988 the Vendôme Group (now Richemont - the world’s #2 luxury group) acquired Piaget. By acquiring Piaget, the group greatly strengthened its watchmaking capacity. Over the years, Piaget has not only produced calibers, in-house, for their own timepieces, but also for Richemont brands such as: Cartier, Vacheron Constantin and Ralph Lauren.
Piaget manufactures all of their calibers in-house (apart from dials, hands and hairsprings). At their movement production facility in La Côte-aux-Fées, they currently produce movements for 23,000 watches per year. Casing up and final assembly occurs in Piaget’s Plan-les-Ouates factory (just outside of Geneva), which has housed the brand’s design facility, case making, casing, jewelry making, final assembly and corporate headquarters since its inauguration in 2001.

Ειναι απ τις διαχρονικες " ειδικοτητες" της Piaget οι ultra thin μηχανισμοι, οπως και εσχατως της Bulgari.
Οπως βλεπουμε, ο μηχανισμος ειναι και μερος του dial, για να ναι ακομη πιο λεπτος.....
ΠΟλυ ομορφο ρολοι.......

Ναι, η Bulgari παιζει με την κασα Octo που ναι πιο σπορ (αν και σε σουπερ ντουπερ ultra thin δεν ξερω τι shoch protection ,wr etc εχει πια) , ενο η Piaget ειναι παλια καραβανα και διαχρονικα παιζει σε πιο dress (με κατι αναγκαστικες/ εμπορικες παραφωνιες τυπου Polo etc)

Piaget Unveils The Rolls-Royce Of Ultra-Thin Watches
So thin you could call it a Phantom...
Since the mid-20th century, Piaget has been the undisputed leader in ultra-thin watches and movements. Their latest big thing (or rather, small thing) is the Altiplano Ultimate Concept: at only 2mm thin, it’s one of the thinnest and most impressive watches ever made. Indeed, back in 2020, it was awarded the watchmaking world’s highest honour – the top prize of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the prestigious Aiguille D’Or.
At last year’s Watches & Wonders, Piaget released the Altiplano Ultimate Concept ‘Tribute To La Côte-Aux-Fées’, a limited-edition take on the AUC with a very on-trend green colour scheme that paid homage to the eponymous Swiss Jura village where Georges Edouard Piaget founded the company back in 1874. It was easily one of the coolest watches of the fair, and remains a grail piece for many.
But Piaget has upped the ante at Watches & Wonders 2022 with an even more impressive rendition of the AUC: a one-off simply called the Piaget AUC Unique Piece that we reckon might just be the Rolls-Royce of ultra-thin watches.
Why Rolls-Royce? Well, aside from the immediate connotations of craftsmanship and exclusivity the British car marque brings to mind… Modern Rolls-Royces are famous for their ‘starlight’ headliners, which feature thousands of lights that resemble the night’s sky, and this Piaget similarly features a cosmic motif that gives off a similar air of whimsy and luxury.
The stars are actually made from Super-LumiNova, and replicate the sky above La Côte-aux-Fées at the exact date and time of the AUC’s birth: 7:47 on the 7th of February, 2017, which is also written just above 3 o’clock.
Some of the AUC Unique Piece’s other stylistic details celebrate the AUC’s genesis: the Piaget logo at 12 o’clock is in a historic font that is the same typeface used in the logo above Piaget’s manufacture in La Côte-aux-Fées, and the ratchet wheel is engraved with the manufacture’s GPS coordinates, for example.
Also like a Rolls-Royce, this is one expensive watch. It’s normally nigh-impossible to price one-offs like these: however, Piaget has told DMARGE that the price will start from AU$605,000, depending on how much the eventual client wants to customise the piece. Piaget’s Latest Polo Perpetual Calendar Is Rock Solid
While watches with stone dials become en-vogue again and are adopted by more and more brands, others can look back at a history in this field that spans several decades. Piaget had an extensive collection of watches with stone dials in the 1950s, and this tradition has really set into the brand’s DNA. The latest version of the Polo Perpetual Calender with blue obsidian dial is, therefore, a very welcome addition to the line-up of Piaget’s sportiest sibling.
Blue works well with a wide variety of watches, and the Piaget Polo is no exception. The blue obsidian has some grey tones to it, which makes it a nice balance between being elegant and sportive, precisely the sweet spot Piaget is aiming at with the Polo collection to begin with. Apart from the craftsmanship needed to make it, one of the most enticing aspects of a stone dial is that no two are alike. The texture is always different, giving you a unique watch.
Piaget combined the dial with a bezel set with brilliant-cut blue sapphires in the bezel. While I can surely enjoy the use of gemstones on watches, I wasn’t sold on the concept with this particular watch when I saw the embargoed pictures. In real life, I have to alter my opinion about it. The blue sapphires work well with the dial, as they share the same hue but complement each other by delivering it differently. As the blue sapphires are not all the same size, they emphasize the cushion-shaped case of the dial, which gives a very pleasing effect.
In terms of movement, there also nothing to complain. Caliber 1255P is only 4mm thick, allowing the Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar to have an overall height of just 8mm, with a diameter of 42mm. Given the fact that it is features a perpetual calendar complication and automatic winding, this is quite the achievement. Τα ίδια ρολόγια στο ίδιο κατάστημα στο ίδιο αεροδρόμιο τα είχα δοκιμάσει τον Αύγουστο (κάπου υπάρχουν οι φωτό) .
Πιστεύω και του χρόνου τον Αύγουστο πάλι εκεί θα είναι 😆.
Πολύ μικρή η αγορά για την συγκεκριμένη εταιρεία.
Προσωπικά εκτιμώ ιδιαίτερα το σπορ μοντέλο και είναι σοβαρή εναλλακτική για κάποιον που θέλει να ξεφύγει από τα τετριμμένα.

Όντως μικρή αγορά, αλλά λόγω αυτού ίσως, η κυρία είχε φοβερά καλή προσέγγιση, χωρίς πίεση έκανε καλύτερη τιμή + χαμηλότερο ΦΠΑ, οπότε το πόλο έβγαινε 9 και λίγο, αλτιπλανο χρυσό στα 20. Καλές τιμές για καινούριο από ad, σίγουρα βρίσκεις καλύτερο από γκρίζο η 2ο χέρι βέβαια.

Το οποίο, όταν έβλεπα τη σειρά, έγραφε απίστευτα στον καρπό.Μου είχε φανεί απίστευτα ωραία και κουλ επιλογή ρολογιού από τον Σταλόνε για τον συγκεκριμένο ρολο.

Ειναι κουλ και με στυλ, αλλα οντως ακριβο.
Φυσικα για full gold ρολοι, δεν ειναι περιεργο ,αλλα επειδη η μαρκα ειναι απ αυτες που κανουν βουτια 2ο χερι/ σε γκριζους κτλ , εχει ενδιαφερον να δουμε που θα παει σε 2-3 χρονια.

Ως κουλ χαρακτηρίζω του Σταλόνε στο Tulsa king.Η επιλογή του vintage Piaget polo ως το ρολόι που θα κοσμούσε τον καρπο του στον συγκεκριμένο ρολο ήταν πραγματικά κουλ,πολύ ψαγμένη και απόλυτα ταιριαστή με τον χαρακτήρα.
Το καινούριο παρότι πανομοιότυπο παύει να είναι το ίδιο κουλ και σίγουρα παύει να είναι ψαγμένο.Ειναι πλέον άλλο ένα πολυδιαφημισμένο ρολόι αυτού του στυλ που απευθύνεται σε συγκεκριμένους νεόπλουτους που αγοράζουν τα hype.Καμια σχέση το statement που θα κάνει κάποιος τώρα με αυτό το ρολόι με το statement που έκανε ο Σταλόνε όταν το επέλεξε στο άσχετο,

Συμφωνώ, μην ξεχνάμε ότι είναι απ τους πρώτους σελεμπριτι που αγόρασε ο ίδιος πανέρι πριν γίνουν κουλ και τα έφερε φουλ στο χολιγουντιανο προσκήνιο και τους μάτσο πρωταγωνιστές
