Είναι παρόμοια λογική με το silicon oscillator της Zenith που πάλλεται στα 18hz. Υποθέτω ότι λόγω του μικρότερου μεγέθους μπορούν να πετύχουν μεγαλύτερη συχνότητα από ότι η Zenith.

Με 80 κινήσεις το δευτερόλεπτο, δεν υπάρχει καμία απολύτως διαφορά στο μάτι μεταξύ spring drive και αυτού. Μιλάμε επίσης για 8 φορές μεγαλύτερη συχνότητα από τα γνωστά μας hi beat (που τρέχουν στα 36.000bph).

40hz, antimagnetic λόγω υλικού, cosc ακρίβεια (έτσι λένε), δεν θέλει "λάδια", είναι πιο ελαφρύ, είναι πιο απλό και είναι καθαρά μηχανικό. Και κάνει 5 χιλιάρικα που δεν είναι και κανένα τρελό πόσο.

Είχαμε μιλήσει και πιο παλιά τον monolithic. Αυτός και ο co-axial αν δεν κάνω λάθος είναι και οι δυο μηχανισμοί που ξεφεύγουν από τον κοινό escapement βγαίνοντας κανονικά σε γραμμή παραγωγής. Η μηχανική σε όλο το μεγαλείο της και ultra hi-beat αν δεν κάνω λάθος.

In keeping with this Geneva brand’s ‘affordable luxury’ tenet, the Classics Worldtimer has been among the highest-value Swiss-made examples of it type, particularly as it’s supplied with an in-house worldtimer caliber (visible through the sapphire caseback).
We’ve seen Frederique Constant release the Classics Worldtimer Manufacture in a variety of hues and metals during the past decade. This new offering, in a choice of a pink gold or steel case, combines the most classic combination that represents the earth’s blue oceans surrounded by white clouds.
The worldtimer dial allows the time to be read in twenty-four time zones with clear daytime or nighttime indication. Frederique Constant applies luminescent indexes (and on the hands in the steel model) to the fairly traditional globe décor world time display. This all frames a handsome sunray guilloché date hand display at the 6 o’clock position.
Frederique Constant will make the 42mm pink gold model as a limited edition of eighty-eight while the second, in steel, will be limited to 1,888 pieces. Both pieces arrive on a matching navy blue alligator strap with a folding buckle, decorated with the Frederique Constant logo.

Since 2004, the British sports car brand Austin-Healey and Frederique Constant have been partners, resulting in automotive-inspired watches with a convincing retro spirit. In light of Austin-Healey’s 70th anniversary, FC presents two limited-edition Vintage Rally Healey Chronograph Automatic with “British racing green dials” taken from the legendary NOJ393 Austin-Healey.
AUSTIN-HEALEY NOJ393
The Austin-Healey with licence plates NOJ393 was a collaboration between the Austin Motor Company and Donald Healey, a renowned racing car designer and rally driver. Constructed in 1953 as one of four Special Test Cars for use by the factory racing team, the NOJ393 was later converted to 100S specification. Having competed in the 1953 Le Mans 24 Hours, the 1954 Sebring 12 Hours, the Carrera Pan Americana and Bahamas Speed Week, the tragic accident during the 1955 Le Mans resulted in the car being impounded by the police. Sold for GPB 155 in 1969 to Jack Scott, the100S NOJ393 languished in a garage before Bonhams sold for a record GBP 843,000 in 2011 and restored to start line specifications for the 1955 Le Mans race. Naturally, the restoration of the sports car meant the return of the classic British Racing Green paintwork.

Collaborative releases make up an increasing number of the best watches released each year, but that doesn’t make it any less special when a couple of unlikely brands come together to make something unexpected. This is exactly what we’ve got with a new release born from a partnership between Frederique Constant and The Naked Watchmaker (TNW), who have come together to make one of the best affordable perpetual calendar watches in years.
If you’ve not come across The Naked Watchmaker before, it was started by the English watchmaker Peter Speake and Daniela Marin, who were the original names being the independent watchmaking brand, Speake Marin, before the two departed the business. After starting TNW several years ago, they have turned their efforts towards watchmaking education, publishing illuminating deconstruction videos of your favourite timepieces including Rolex, Grand Seiko, Patek Philippe and many more.
You’re more likely to have come across Frederique Constant before, the Swiss brand that creates classically styled timepieces at a more affordable price point. In the collaboration, Peter Speake has applied his decades of independent watchmaking expertise to a Frederique Constant Slimline Perpetual Calendar, creating a complicated, hand-finished timepiece that looks avant-garde but doesn’t arrive with an exorbitant price tag.
The TNW x Frederique Constant Slimline Perpetual Calendar maintains the original case dimensions of the standard version of the watch, with a steel case that measures 42mm in diameter and 11.3mm thick. Both versions are also powered by the same calibre in the self-winding FC-775 perpetual calendar movement, which ticks away at 28,800vph and has a power reserve of 38 hours.
Where Speake has applied his handiwork is in the attractively skeletonised dial, which offers an uninterrupted view of the blue-bridged movement that contrasts nicely against the tobacco brown of the dial. While the movement is mostly the same as the standard version, Speake has adapted several elements including larger more legible subdials, and a leap year indicator via a small aperture at 12 o’clock instead of the typical hand.
Sure, it’s not the most technically impressive perpetual calendar you can buy, but most finely finished perpetual calendars will set you back at least six figures (a crude comparison could be to Patek Philippe’s most affordable perpetual calendar, the ref. 5320G which costs $133,800). With Speake’s much-celebrated expertise on full display, offering an insight into how the mechanism of a perpetual calendar actually works, the TNW x Frederique Constant Slimline Perpetual Calendar is one of the coolest timepieces I’ve seen in a while that is complicated and affordable.
