Τον Απριλιο του 1861 ο Erhard Junghans μαζι με τον κουνιαδακι του Jakob Zeller-Tobler , ιδρυσαν την εταιρια στο πανεμορφο Σχράμπεργκ ( Schramberg ) της Γερμανιας.

Το 1950 ξεκινησε η συνεργασια τους με τον Bauhaus Ελβετο αρτιστα Max Bill .
Σχεση η οποια κρατησε αρκετα χρονια και εδωσε ιδιαιτερα παραδειγματα ωρολογιακης τεχνης.

Το έχω παροπλισμένο γιατί και θόρυβο κάνει και φθορά του προκαλείς με το άνοιξε κλείσε(είναι και υπερήλικας)δείχνει όμως την ώρα με ακρίβεια πρωί και βράδυ στις 10 και 13.

Πολύ θετικό ότι πλέον υπάρχει και η επιλογή κρύσταλλου ζαφείρι στα Max Bill. To ακρυλικό έχει επίστρωση για προστασία αλλά εάν γρατζουνιστεί δεν μπορεί να γυαλιστεί, δεν φτιάχνεται με polywatch και χρειάζεται αντικατάσταση.

Junghans is the Official Timing Partner of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships for the third time in a row. The brand is celebrating this sporting event with two limited special editions, one automatic chronograph and one equipped with a quartz engine. The self-winding 1972 Competition FIS Edition Lemon evokes the bold style of the 1970s and highlights its dynamic appeal with an expressive yellow hue. This bold color makes for a nice and highly contrasting backdrop for the two counters located at 12 and 6 o’clock. The dial is complemented by a color-coordinated date indication at 3 o’clock and a tachymeter scale on its flange.
In the style of a hand-held stopwatch, the push-pieces are located on the top of the oval stainless steel case, which has a diameter 45.5mm by 41.0mm and is water-resistant to 10 bar.
Well protected behind a closed and engraved case back beats the automatic caliber J880.5.
The Junghans 1972 Competition FIS Edition Lemon sits on a yellow leather strap and has a price tag of approximately $2,780 when converted to USD. The new Meister Pilot Chronoscope follows the success of a pilot’s chronograph from Junghans that the German Bundeswehr equipped their pilots with in the 1950s. In the days before GPS positioning and autopilot, mechanical watches were indispensable for navigation. This instrument-like timepiece was powered by the very precise and reliable J88 caliber. With great attention to detail, Junghans has revived this highlight from its history.
Like the original, everything is designed for maximum functionality. For example, the bi-directionally rotating and ergonomically shaped bezel can be precisely adjusted even when wearing gloves and, together with the stopwatch function, allows the time of flight to be determined. As another requirement for a pilot’s watch, the numerals and hands have a distinctive design and are luminescent for best readability in the dark.
The dial features a classic bicompax layout with a central stop-second and 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock. The finely finished J880.4 automatic movement is well protected inside the DLC-coated case, which has a diameter of 43.5mm and is pressure-resistant to 10 bar. The Meister Pilot Chronoscope is available with two dial options, one with a sand-colored effect finish and the other in a limited edition of 300 pieces in navy blue.
